Literally went to dinner here tonight. And we had the best experience ever. Sat down outside because we always travel with our dog. It was about 7p and we were sat immediately. Our server Katie came over and brought us water and our dog a water bowl, right away. We placed our order of chicken wings, 1/2 rack of ribs with French fries, and full rack of ribs with macaroni and cheese. After we ordered, Katie said “would you like to order something from our dog menu?” We were so surprised, but so excited and happy! Of course we got our pup a hamburger. She made sure to tell us it’s 5oz of unseasoned burger meat chopped up hot into a dog bowl. We were so excited for our girl! To drink we ordered an Atlantic blueberry beer and a blueberry lemonade. The lemonade was sweet but tasted so good. When our appetizer of the chicken wings came out, we had a choice of ranch or blue cheese for dipping. We chose both. The wings come with 8 wings, 4 flats, 4 drums. Let me tell you that saying these chicken wings were out of this world was an understatement. They were the best chicken wings I’ve ever had. They were seasoned well and smoked well. I could eat them all day. We had the ribs. They were also seasoned well and fall off the bone however we thought they could’ve been a tad more juicy, but still absolutely delicious. The macaroni and cheese was tasty, and the French fries are about triple fried making them so good. The ordered automatically comes with cornbread. Our waitress Katie was genuinely nice caring and sweet and considerate. This experience at this restaurant really was the best. We would come back here in a heartbeat on our next trip to Acadia.

Across from Pirate’s Cove mini golf, this was a welcome change from the high-priced seafood and over-priced eateries in Bar Harbor proper. We shared crab cakes and a half rack of ribs. Great food, super nice staff, nice atmosphere. If we weren’t going home tomorrow, we’d eat there again.

Ate here two days in a row during my stay on Mt. Desert Island. First day I tried the lobster roll (requested no lettuce), it was excellent and the roll was nice and soft. Fries were great. Next day I had the sampler, the chicken, pulled pork, and ribs were great but my favorite was the sausage despite not being a fan of spicy foods. The mac & cheese also had a spicy kick I didn't care for but was otherwise excellent. You won't go wrong stopping here.

Service was amazing! We are Texans and we came here back to back nights. Good drinks, great food, even better service. Not crowded and priced great especially for bbq. We had the clam chowder each night too and it was comparable to all the others we had in the area very hot and chunky. Recommend!

We loved it here! Bloody Mary's were awesome (chunky, spicy, and smoked) :) Pictured is the "max plate." Split between my husband, 2 small children and I. We had enough left for 2 rounds of leftovers which we reheated over our campfire (amazing)!! Our server was awesome and offered us the outside to "play" with the kiddos while waiting. Highly recommend! Our family will be back one more time before leaving the state!

Giving this a rating for overall experience. Great atmosphere as you will read from many. Indoor outdoor seating with a classic deck fitting for a 'BBQ joint' (definitely 'joint' less of a restaurant ). Love music with a well paired dual guitarists that had a bluesy style to their transformed pop and classic favorites. Note: dog friendly and even has a dog menu (seriously) with a nice backstory. The food was good. I felt all the meat were prepared properly, good rub, and had the right grilling char to meet expectations. The sampler was a great option as it gives you a good variety and will definitely fill you up! The ribs were excellent, falling-off- bone. The chicken was also good, great smokiness and flavor. Pulled pork was good, really pulled pork is mainly to be smothered in sauce, UNLESS there is a special prep with seasoning post-pulling. The Italian sausage was good, hand crafted so it wasn't the fatty spongy style. A bit meatier, and just enough moisture to accent with sauce. The few food items that could be better the Mac and cheese was a tad dry and a bit under-seasoned so twist some S & P on it and it will spruce up. The one thing slightly short was the BBQ sauce. The classic sweet was fine, but the hot was some derivative.of franks or franks-like maybe with a bit of vinegar and sugar cooked down. If you want a good spicy BBQ, just mix the hot I to the sweet and it does well. We didn't get dessert but it has plenty to choose from Again overall a nice departure from all the lobstah and seafood we have been eating all week not the best BBQ joint I have ever been too, but it is good quality, reasonably priced, and lives up to the meats. Once your done, then you will be all fueled up to Go Squatchin!

Great food! Had to get a stiffy before noon due to a T-Rex. They are dog friendly. They LOVE dogs so much they provide a menu for your furry canines! Our dog is in the T-Rex phase, 8 months old, and we are trying to socialize him as much as possible. If you have a T-Rex like ours, the table in the way back is the best! We we're so busy dealing with this beast, we forgot to ask the name of our awesome server. You we're phenomenal!

Good food, big portions, friendly service. My fam ordered onion rings and the max plate and had leftovers after. My faves were the onion rings, pulled pork, sausage, baked beans, and the corn bread. So dog friendly they even have a doggy menu! Very welcoming atmosphere; we were so glad we chose to eat here. Will recommend to friends and family. They are next to an ice cream shop too.
